The Barrington Park District offers several rental venues. Located off of Northwest Highway and Lake Zurich Road in Barrington is Citizens Park. This 45-acre park was the site of the old Jewel Tea Company. It is an award-winning park and was officially dedicated in 2007. Citizens Park offers the Jewel Tea Pavilion, The Lodge, Pepper Family Treehouse, Robert Soule Amphitheater, and picnic shelters. All of these venues continue to be a very popular setting for weddings, picnics, corporate events, and special social events. 3 Chefs Catering’s experienced and professionally attired service staff can provide site set up, cleanup, and guest services. To add that extra touch, we can provide on-site catering chefs or other culinary staff. 3 Chefs Catering will coordinate all details to make your event enjoyable.
The Jewel Tea Pavilion (pictured top right) at Citizens Park is 1,900 square foot space that can accommodate up to 110 people. The pavilion is equipped with a full commercial catering kitchen. This venue has an added benefit of being heated and cooled and comes complete with a wood burning fireplace. The Pavilion also has the ability to become a fully open-air space with state-of-the-art retractable glass doors. With these amenities the Jewel Tea Pavilion venue can be used year round. Perfect for weddings, corporate events, bridal or baby showers and other special events.
The Lodge at Citizens Park is also heated and air-conditioned also making it a wonderful year round space. This building has a smaller capacity (at maximum 30 people) perfect for small events such as corporate board meetings, birthday parties, or small gatherings.
The Pepper Family Treehouse is perfectly fitting for childrens’ birthday parties, smaller gatherings, or any event where kids just want to be themselves. The Treehouse is only available from April 1- October 31 and has a maximum of 30 people.
The Robert Soule Amphitheater is best suited for outdoor concerts or stage gatherings. It features a full stage with electricity available. With terraced seating on the grass it can accommodate up to 200 people.
3 Chefs Catering loves a great picnic! Perfect for those corporate picnics, family reunions, or other special outdoor events are the picnic shelters. Picnic shelter reservations are taken after February first of each year. There are two shelters (no electric supply) available for rent during the week and weekends. June through August the picnic shelters are only available on the weekends. Each shelter can accommodate 50 people. Who doesn't love a summertime picnic? Whether it is a corporate or a private picnic, our "grillin' and chillin' " team is experienced, professional, and knows how to work the grill.
